Kansas City Southern Road Number KCS 400 This 50' standard box car with single door is painted black with white lettering and red and yellow bands. It was built in October 1941 by Pullman-Standard, serviced in March 1948, and runs on Allied Full Cushion trucks. Originally numbered into series 25100-25288, KCS 400 is one of four cars converted into express box cars by KCS in 1948. These cars were equipped with special racks for loading Chevrolet front axles.
