Each car has shock absorber construction for smooth and reliable operation. The observation car features a continuous lighted drumhead sign and red marker lights and a directional backup light.

All cars are factory equipped with the Kato fully automatic knuckle couplers and feature fine lettering with car numbers and other markings. The interior of the passenger cars can be lighted with the optional installation of our Interior Lighting Kit (#11-209 Single, #11-210 6-pack).

Additional 4 car Super Chief sets (Set B 106-6002 and Set C 106-6003) and F7A (176-2121) and F3B (176-2211) locomotives are also available.
