The Series M250, named "Super-Railcargo" made its debur in March 2004 on the "Takaido" Main, a logistic artery in Japan. As the first multi-motive container express train for HR Freight, the Series M250 makes its daily round tripbetween Tokyo and Osaka in only 6 hours and 10 minutes for a one way.
The train hauls, 28 pieces of 31-foot container U54A in a paint scheme dedicated to "Sagawa Kyubin", a mahoe parcel forwarder in Japan in a 12 car configuration.
It is equally important to note the SeriesM250 was developed with the idea of desreasing the amount of CO2 in the air from high speed cargo transport. It is expected to decrease 14,000 metric tons of CO2 in the air annually.
