40 ft. Postwar Box Car w/6 ft. Door

Dear HO Scale Customers: a few months ago we had numerous customers looking for the resent release of Atlas TH&B Boxcars. They were all sold out.

Well one of our suppliers noticed they had a case of each of the three road numbers mistakenly marked as NYC cars.

Upon learning of the mislabeling of the master cases, they called this morning to see if we would want them.

We only have access to 6 of each road number. So if you are one of the customers who got turned down, we can get them for you.

Spurred by the postwar business boom and in an effort to replace worn out equipment, North American railroads built large numbers of 40' box cars to the AAR standard designs beginning in 1945. Prototypes were built with different combinations of roof styles, ends and doors. Our tooling includes many of the more common options for these details.
