If you run Coal, Grain, or Potash Unit Trains on your layout these would be a perfect addition to your CN Fleet.
We only made 50 of each, so if you wanted one, get your order in, we only have 20 left.
Remember if you are a customer who is or has bought any of our Grain, Coal or Potash cars - these are the perfect engine for pulling a long consist of our cars. CN had them assigned to Prince George and they run from Prince Rupert and Vancouver BC to Chicago and the Montreal - Toronto Coridor.

Notice which coal cars are being pulled by the new CN ES44AC's
Dear N Scalers:
Earlier today we were contacted by a customer of ours who models CN and works for CN in Prince George. He mentioned to us that CN had purchased 65 brand new ES44AC Locomotives from GE over the past couple of years (numbered 2800 to 2864). We were reminded, system wide all the new ES44AC's are home shopped in Prince George. CN bought the new Locomotives to specifically be used on the main line from Prince Rupert to Chicago on heavy long haul movements east and west.
If you examine the photos above, you will notice the new 2800 series locomotives moving our coal cars, and below, our soon to be released 4275 cu.ft. Potash cars. Clearly, if you model modern CN moving Potash, Coal or Grain, you're going to see these new AC units everyday on the CN mainline.

So we talked to Fox Valley today and have arranged to commission Fox Valley to produce for us, 4 Special Run Canadian National ES44AC's.
Why 4 different Locomotives?
We were told by our customer who works for CN, that when the Coal Drags leave the Rocky Mountains, they usually have 4 of these monsters guiding the coal trains to Prince George. Then at Prince George, two units are cut out for the trip to Pacific Ocean at Prince Rupert. On the return trip, two engines are cut back into the consist, at Prince George, for the remainder of the trip to the coal mines in the Rocky Mountains.
So, if you have already bought our 4000 cu.ft. Coal cars and are modeling post 2012 operations on CN, here is a great opportunity to grab the perfect engines to pull your coal trains.
Or, if you have already reserved our new 4275 cu.ft. Potash Cars coming later this year, here are the perfect engines to pull your large unit Potash Trains.
The minimum production is limited to 50 of each road number.
