Since the Sultran articule was so large we decided to split up the images on two pages:
CGTX
In case any of you were wondering who CGTX is, they are GATX Rail Canada Corporation. And you will see these cars all over North America and they are seen regularly on CP and CN.

Cominco (NAHX Lease)
Cominco started in 1906 as The Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada, formed by the amalgamation of several units controlled by the Canadian Pacific Railway. CM&S, or "Smelters" as it was often called by investors, changed its name to Cominco in 1966. Cominco's core Sullivan Mine in Kimberley, British Columbia which began production in 1909, would operate for more than 90 years until its ore reserves exhausted in 2001.

State of Washington Grain Train
One interesting piece of information you should know about these cars - about 5 years ago while in Seattle, we noticed 12 Washington State Grain Cars parked on a siding in the morning sun. Two of the cars have simple one or two color graffiti on the car sides.
So we decided to do the complete set of all 12 cars as a single project. Each time we have seen these cars they usually seem to run in strings on BNSF or UP trains.
Imbedded in the 12 car set (4 x 3 cars sets) are the two cars with the graffiti.
We hope you enjoy.

Government of Canada (CNWX) "Were is the Little Red Cabuse" 2006 Mystery Car

A quick note re the Mystery Cars. The SKU number is misleading. When we started the Mystery Carproject many years ago we used the date in the SKU field. It was in hindsight a mistake. It does not indicate the date the car was released. It was to be the order in which they were released. This and the CN "Radar Car" pictured below were released earlier this year.
Canadian National (CNWX) "Radar Car" 2005 Mystery Car

A comment re this CN Car, we usually like our Mystery Cars to be unique, and if possible provoke thought, or convey a message. Whe decided to do this car because it was involved in a chemical spill and the CN crews had to go out and repaint the information on one side of the car on the left which composed the information with the reporting marks. Well the crew used what they had - black paint.
So if you look you will notice one side of the car is as it was originallypainted with red graphics, the other side is black on the left. Also someone decided to add in green the word "radar". We will never reprint any road numnber we have ever done. It's unique, and it really stands out on a layout.
