The first run of these cars is on the way to our warehouse now. We have limited numbers of these cars still available for order. They are sold out at Atlas and most other stores. Modelers who would like some of the first run of this new model should reserve their cars now, as they will go quickly.

Due to the first run being fully sold out at Atlas within days of announcment, Atlas is running the first road numbers announced in January 2014 again with two additional road numbers per road name. Atlas is also releasing an undecorated version of the car.

From 1975 to 1980 National Steel Car built over one-thousand 50’6” single-plug door box cars. Most of the 100-ton cars went to Canadian railroads primarily for paper service. Two hundred 70-ton cars went into food service for the Grand Trunk Western. the models have a number of variations corresponding to the prototype.

This release includes two undecorated versions and four road numbers in three schemes.
