PWRS Exclusive Micro-Trains BNSF Hopper 6-Pack

Pacific Western Rail Systems is proud to announce our next PWRS Exclusive Micro-Trains product, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) 2 Bay Centerflow Covered Hopper 6-Pack. This release, which has never before been offered by Micro-Trains, will feature special weathering to represent the real world appearance of the prototype.

This is a one time production run of this product; these road numbers will never be repeated. Production will be limited and set to ensure all orders placed by the reservation due date are filled. Most likely, there will be no stock to fill orders received after the cut off date.

PORTERS Modelers who wish to order this PWRS Exclusive 6-Pack are encouraged to order quickly. Initially, this product is only available to our PORTERS Members. Any remaining 6-Packs will be made available to non-PORTERS Members after they have been formally announced by Micro-Trains. Micro-Trains will be running a minimum of 50 sets. All previously PWRS Exclusive Micro-Trains products have sold out, so serious collectors must reserve their sets now, supplies are limited.

These 2 bay Centerflow covered hoppers with round hatches are painted gray with an orange herald and black lettering with yellow visibility marks. These 2970 cu ft 2 Bay Covered Hoppers are gavity fed 100 ton hoppers measuring 39 ft 6 inches long and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. They were built in January 1967 by American Car & Foundry. These hoppers were repainted with the orange “new image” logo in 2006, sometimes also referred to as the ‘wedge’ or ‘swish’ logo. It was first introduced by BNSF in January 2005.
