The C-628 was part of the ALCo 'Century" line of locomotives and was built between late 1963 and late 1968. It was built around a 2750 horsepower prime mover. The locomotive garnered only limited orders, as EMD with their SD units and GE with their U-boats were dominating the market. ALCo would only survive a few more years after the end of C-628 production. While only a little over 160 were built, some went on to long careers with a few units remaining in service into the 2000's.

This release includes road numbers for 15 schemes available in DCC Ready and DCC w/Sound versions.
