North American Railcar Corporation & Pacific Western Rail Systems will be at the P.G.E. 100 Centennial Convention this weekend. We will have examples of products that have been or are used currently in this area.

In celebration of this event, Pacific Western Rail Systems will also be announcing a very special, limited edition PWRS Exclusive Micro-Trains product at 9 AM Pacific on Saturday, both at the show and on our website.

So if you are coming to the show, or in the area, stop by and enjoy the festivities.

This year is special, as it is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the chartering of the Pacific Great Eastern Railway. The PGE-BCR Modellers Group is hosting and presenting this special event. This will be an ideal opportunity to meet other PGE-BCR modellers and attend clinics specializing in the railway’s equipment, history and operations.

The town of Squamish is situated halfway between the port city of Vancouver and the mountain resort town of Whistler. The West Coast Railway Heritage Park houses a significant number of PGE artefacts including the only surviving PGE steam locomotive, the railway’s first diesel locomotive and numerous passenger and freight cars. The convention display hall will be hosted in the museum’s new CN Roundhouse & Conference Centre. The display hall will feature an array of PGE/BCR models and several operating layouts. Several exhibitors will also be present including North American Railcar Corporation. The display hall will also feature Royal Hudson 2860 and PGE troop sleeper 722. 

For those able to get to Squamish, although the banquet is fully subscribed, full or day registrations we will be accepted at the door. The location is the CN Roundhouse & Conference Centre at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park, 39645 Government Road, Squamish, BC. The doors are open for registrants 09:00 - 15:00 Saturday and 09:00 - 16:00 Sunday. A public Train Show is open 10:00 - 16:00 Sunday.
