As a young lad growing up in British Columbia in the late 50's & early 60', there was a railroad at the "other end" of the province hat was the "but" of many jokes. That being the Pacific Eastern Railway. Not because of it pretentious name (it was neither great nor eastern) to the residents of the rest of the province but because of its strange ability to "De-rail", or "Wash out" or have landslide / snow slide take out the tracks far too often. No wonder it gained the nickname "Please Go Easy".
This young railroad overcame many obstacles (and rock slides) to become the British Columbia Railway (BCR). Wow! We now had a railroad we could call our own! Not that that was allowed in our home, we were after all Canadian Pacific bred. Hey, my Granddad drove the actual "Royal Hudson" with the Royal Family on board out of Revelstoke, B.C. But we could now say the B.C. has its' own real railroad.
Pacific Western Rail will now be custom painting some BCR hard to get locomotives (probably never done by the big manufacturers).

We can not neglect the often requested B39-8E / B40-8 Locomotive

PWRS only has a limited number of locomotives available to use for these custome paint projects. If you are interested in these loco's get your order in right away as once the "base" locomotives are gone there won't be any left to paint.
