Kato has Announced a VIA Rail Passenger Set Special For April delivery.These passenger car sets were produced in 1992 and have been hiding in a warehouse at kato japan, were hand-checked and upgraded with brand new Kato semi-automatic knuckle couplers to ensure that they'll stand proudly with any newer product.

It seems Kato decided to send the last few remaining sets to North America since they were not selling in Japan.

As soon as we received information these Via sets were available we called Kato to order all remaining sets. We have had hundreds of requests by customers over the years for this particular Via set.

When we taked to Kato on Friday, we asked how many do they have? They said 10 sets. We have over 13,000 customers. We said we will take them all.

So if you want a set, order right away. 

Each VIA Rail Passenger Set includes two GE P42 locomotives in the striking Renaissance paint scheme, as well as one six car and one four car Smoothside passenger car set
