New Revised Delivery Dates

Slab Side Covered Hopper Update
Dear Customers:
Yesterday we talked to Hobbycraft (TrueLineTrains) regarding the Slab-sided Hoppers. These cars were originally scheduled for delivery in May 2010. Here is a update for you. They have shipped (by Air) three of the 6 cars sets (2 x CPR, and TH&B). Hobbycraft is sold out. We have just a few left.
The remaining 6 car sets are coming by sea and will arrive late November. All of these remaining sets coming to Hobbycraft are spoken for - so they are sold out. Hence we can't order any more. All cases pre-booked will be delivered. We have about 2-3 extra cases left of most of the remaining different road schemes. So if you want any of the Slab-sided Hoppers listed below, get your order in - as soon as possible.
The prototypes for this series were in regular use from 1950 to the late 1970's. These hoppers were used only by Canadian railways. "Slab-Sides" carried numerous kinds of bulk powdered commodities that had to be kept dry; from A (agricultural chemicals) to Z (zinc dust).
TrueLine Trains will released several different variations for the four Canadian railways that owned these unique cars; Canadian Pacific Railway, Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo, Canadian National Railway, and Pacific Great Eastern.
For more history of the Canadian Slab Sided Covered Hoppers, see the article: "The Smooth Canadian" by Ken Goslett in the August 1986 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman.
Dear Customers:
Also look below at the image of the CN Scale Test Cars. There are two road numbers.
A note for our BC Rail / PGE fans: When the Slab Side Hoppers were done the first time there were many customers who did not get the BC Rail / PGE cars. Make sure you order on time. The Six car set will get you one of each of all the different BC Rail / PGE cars, do not also order the singles unless you want duplicate road numbers.
