Athearn - Memo To Customers re BC Rail Athearn Flats With BC Rail Trailers:

BC Rail Flats and Trailers Coming from Athearn

Dear HO Scale Customers:

     About 6 months ago we suggested to Athearn Management, they consider releasing BC Rail 50ft Flat Cars with BC Rail Trailers. (By the way as a side note, Atlas has done these in N Scale many times and each time they are produced they sell out very quickly).

We asked Athearn if we could canvass our 13,000+ customer base for advance orders and support for this important BC Rail product. We originally listed 2 SKU numbers. We also pre-booked a very large number of the two SKU numbers for the BC Rail Flats and Trailers.

Now that Athearn has made the announcement official, we have a small problem. We have over a 100 customers who are down for the first two SKU numbers. We would now like to ask all of you who ordered the first two SKU numbers of the BC Rail Trailers and Flats to make sure you vote/ order on the third rail car and trailer. Remember BC Rail ran these in strings of a lot more than just three flatcars and trailers.

     We are confident Athearn will want to consider a re-run of these in the future. Just like the Northern Alberta Railway cars, we are once again proving to some of the US based manufacturers out there, "that Canadian stuff does sell", you just need to know which items to recommend they produce.

     You will also notice new BC Rail and PGE Double Door Boxcars.

     So to all our BC Rail customers and Fans out there, lets show Athearn just how much demand there is out there for BC Rail stuff. Remember, the more we support items like the BC Rail Flats and Trailers the more product we will get in the future. If you have friends who model BC Rail in HO Scale, pass the information on. And if any of them don't have a PORTERS (Extra Net Account) we will gladly set them up."
