Dear HO Model Railoraders, as many of you know, we suggest a year ago to Athearn they consider producing some 50ft Double Door Boxcars in Northern Alberta Railway (NAR). (As pictured blow)

So the very next time Athearn ran their mold of the 50ft Double Door Boxcar they produced some NAR cars. They were released about 4 weeks ago. Well Athearn sold everything they made a 2 weeks ago (we know because we bought everything they had). In fact they have a significant amount on back order, they can't fill.

Now, many of you who have called, said you would have bought more road numbers had they been available. So we talked to Athearn this morning and they have given us permission to send out a e mail to all of our customers. Athearn will consider producing three more road number of the 50ft NAR Boxcar in late 2010. But we must be able to demonstrate interest on the part of our customers.

Athearn was surprised at the level of interest in the NAR cars. Our American friends to the south are amazed at how well Canadian stuff sells.   

So here is your chance, if you are one of the many customers who were disappointed not to get a car please get your order in. If you want more cars with different road numbers, get your order in.
