Dear N Scale Modelers, here is a list of four great new special runs coming for N Scalers:

This is an Art director's Dream! While most rail designers these days are confined to putting call letters on a single color background, we turned ours loose to update modem cars with historic paint schemes. Yes, it is not accurate per se, as these cars never actually carried these schemes, but the schemes are accurate, the cars are accurate, and in our world of 'Prototype Speculation", who is to say that these schemes would not be on these cars in an ever so slightly different world?
These railroads are all currently in operation. we wish that they would consider adding these schemes to their rolling stock inventory. After all, it wouldn't be the first time models proceeded the prototype. right Union Pacific Heritage Fleet?
The Way they Should Have Been #7

These days, Railroads are in a sort of "Stealth" mode. Essential to commerce, to be sure, but they try to run in the background. Back when they were a part of the everyday fabric of life, almost the center of a town's existence, their brands were on everyone's mind. much as now you are an Apple or a PC person, back then you would have been a Pennsy or an NYC person. this 'brand awareness' dictated shipping, parcel, and travel decisions for the average American, and every business. No UPS or Fedex, so packages, freight, and people road the rails.
Yes, the services still use the rails, but the major branding is done differently. Do you miss the colorful logos and great paint schemes that we used to see as we 'counted cars' from the front seat of our Chevys or fords? We do, too.
For all of us who love color, we present the next edition of "The Way They Should Have Been". Paint schemes that reflect the heritage of the railroad represented on modern cars that they surely would have owned had they survived Merger Fever. We call it "Prototype-Speculation". You can call it whatever you want! The beauty of creating a world in miniature is that it is shape history to how you would like it to be. Your job as world builder has just become easier, thanks to the NSC's "The Way they Should Have Been" Series!
Are you building a Grocery Service train? Then THIS is the two pack for you! The santa Fe did a tremendous business bringing the bounty of the west to market. This two pack reveals two of the more unusual cars that Santa Fe developed.
The Conditionaire cars came from American car and Foundry, and were designed with cooled chambers in the lining, and were rated a 100 tons load carry capacity, a huge advantage over standard reefers, they were quite economical to load and unload, as no secondary packing was required. Apples, carrots, onions,, and potatoes were transported in this manner. the cars' irregular, orange-colored outer surface (though darker in shade than the standard AT&SF yellow-orange used on reefers) tended to collect dirt easily, and proved difficult to clean as well. Santa Fe eventually relegated the cars to more typical, non-refrigerated applications.

The Food Service Boxcars were lined cars. They were cleaned regularly, kept in impeccable state of repair, and segregated from regular boxcar service. they carried dry and packaged food items in both direction - from farms of the West, and the Cereal and food mills of the east as a back haul. The Santa Fe had entire unit dedicated to meeting the needs of the food suppliers, and this seemed a logical extension to their mighty reefer service.
The Hopper was created by Micro Trains Line exclusively for this two pack. The boxcar was created by deLuxe innovations for the SoCal N group, intended for a Railroads of Southern California 4 pack that was never released in general circulation. Together, they make a great addition to your Santa Fe, Food service, or other collections!
Your NSC Society is helping to market these trains for Southern California N Scale Council.

NOTE: The flat car for both white containers red or black will have the same road number
