Dear HO Modelers, we have received calles from customers wondering what is the status of their orders for the new MTH SD70Ace and SD70M-2 locomotives?

Re the SD70Ace's:

We were informed by MTH today, they expect delivery of all of the SD70Ace's over the next 8 weeks. Different road names will arrive in different containers, so exact dates per road name is difficult to give you. But they are on the way. A small number of SD70Ace's were released in September but the main shipment is coming.

One of the bits of information we received concerns items sold out. All of the SD70Ace Union Pacific Heritage and George W Bush Locomotives are Sold Out at MTH and our distributors. Of the units coming to Pacific Western Rail, we have maybe one or two of left to allocate of some of the Heritage units. There are no more of the DRG Heritage Unit.

Regarding the balance of the SD70Ace's: CSX, KSC, BNSF, EMD Demonstrator, and MRL - there are small qty of each available. Maybe one or two each of any of the road numbers. So if you want one, now is the time to get your request in. MTH is sold out (all items coming are allocated), but one of their distributors informed us this morning they have a few pieces they can allocate for most road numbers.

Re the SD70M-2's:

The same stock situation exists re the SD70M-2's. If you want any of the NS, EMD Lease, FEC, UP, CN or FEC/Rail America Locomotive units, we recommend ordering right away, we can get a couple of each of the road numbers. There are a few road numbers already sold out.
