BR 175 DR Car Sets

● Item Introduction

Introduced in 1963 for international services of the East German State Railway (DR), the VT 18.16 was redesignated BR 175 in 1970 and received its distinctive ivory-and-red livery. With a top speed of 160 km/h, it became one of East Germany’s premier express trains.

The BR 175 operated international services including the famous “Vindobona,” connecting Berlin with destinations such as Prague, Vienna, Copenhagen and Malmö.
