The wait is nearly over.

Our N Scale Marine Industries 4550 cubic-foot Cylindrical Hoppers have arrived from China and are currently making their way to our Vancouver facility. We expect them to be available in the coming days.

These highly detailed models represent an important and long-lived Canadian prototype. Developed from a standard 4550 cubic-foot 4-bay cylindrical hopper design introduced by Canadian National and Canadian Pacific in the 1970s, thousands of similar cars were built for grain, potash, fertilizer and other commodities. Many remain in service across North America today.

This release represents the grain version, featuring the distinctive trough hatches running along the top of the car.

The models have been meticulously researched and include a remarkable range of prototype-specific details, including etched brass running boards and crossover platforms, multiple prototype-specific end and brake variations, detailed outlet gates, Kadee #58 semi-scale couplers, cut levers, and North American Railcar high-performance trucks.
