Walthers Mainline is excited to announce New 66ft Heavy-Duty 4-Truck Flatcars

When exceptionally heavy or oversized loads need to move, railroads rely on specialized equipment like the 66' 4-Truck Heavy-Duty Flatcar represented by this new WalthersMainline HO Scale model. With a load limit of 240 tons or more, this flatcar often operates in small fleets assigned wherever heavy-haul service was required. Typical loads include heavy industrial machinery and boilers as well as electrical generators and transformers. Many of these cars also haul construction equipment and military vehicles. The flatcar's distinctive four-truck design evenly distributes weight, allowing railroads to safely transport loads that exceed the limits of conventional freight cars.
