We are pleased to announce that NARC’s latest release of Hawker Siddeley Alberta grain hoppers in N-scale have just arrived.
We will be invoicing and shipping these cars out to those who ordered them shortly.  And, we ordered a few additional sets of these cars, so if you have not already placed an order for these cars, you still have a chance to purchase them; but we encourage you to act quickly, as we expect these cars will be totally sold out soon.

We know the arrival of these cars was delayed and they took much longer to produce than originally planned or expected, for which we apologize. But we think it is important for you to know WHY these cars took so long to produce.  The simple reason is that we were not happy with the first set of cars produced as part of this release:  The quality of the paint and decos on the cars was not up to the standards we expect for NARC products.

So we immediately contacted our provider in China to discuss the problem.  We discovered that they used a different technique for applying the decos versus the technique used for earlier cars.
This resulted in a lengthy back-and-forth between us, as we related our lack of satisfaction with these cars and sought a solution to the problem.

Ultimately, it was agreed that they would address the problem by reverting back to the earlier technique they had used for applying decos (and we shipped back the cars we had already received for them to be “destroyed”).

We have received a second run of the cars, made using the original technique as we had originally expected ad promised our customers. This was obviously an inconvenience for you and for NARC, as it delayed our receipt of the cars and it delayed your receiving of the cars that we had expected to receive much earlier.  But this inconvenience did NOT override our desire - and commitment - to produce the highest quality, accurate model trains. 

We are confident that you will be as pleased with these cars as we are. And we thank you again for your patronage of NARC and PWRS and look forward to continuing to produce and sell the highest quality cars possible at competitive prices.
