For modelers who value historical accuracy, this run includes prototypically accurate versions of the Baltimore & Ohio, Chesapeake & Ohio, and Milwaukee Road hoppers, featuring roadname-correct lettering, paint schemes, and details that closely match the prototype.

In addition, Broadway Limited Imports are offering Santa Fe and Union Pacific versions as well. While these cars are not intended to represent specific prototypes, they feature popular railroad branding that many modelers enjoy, making them a great fit for a wide variety of layouts and consists.

The ARA/AAR 70-ton Quad Hopper was a ubiquitous freight car used by railroads across North America. Primarily designed for hauling coal, nearly 12,000 hoppers were built and delivered between 1926 and 1930, making them a common sight on rails for decades.

This release features popular road names including Baltimore & Ohio, Chesapeake & Ohio, Milwaukee Road, Santa Fe, and Union Pacific. These handsomely crafted, highly detailed models are offered in distinctly numbered 4-packs. This production run includes both A and B packs, allowing those who purchase both packs to build a fleet of eight uniquely numbered cars—perfect for assembling a long string of coal haulers.
