Atlas O is excited to announce New Hooded Modern Signals

Single Head - LH

The latest addition to the Atlas All-Scales Signal System brings the line of Hooded Modern signals currently available in HO Scale to O scale, providing modern-era modelers with a prototypically accurate signal seen across the US. These signals have commonly been referred to as “Darth Vader” style, given the shape and extent of the single hood protecting the signal glasses, which resembles the famous helmet from Star Wars. Functionally, these hoods keep the signal aspects clear from being blocked by snow or other elements, and the extended hood sides help to ensure that train crews can distinguish the aspects more easily from background lights and also minimize stray light illumination across the face of the targets for enhanced visibility during daylight hours.
