White River Productions is pleased to announce the release of Kansas City Southern: Southeast Division. This all-new 208-page volume is a photographic tribute to Kansas City Southern, lavishly illustrated with photos from the author’s extensive photography trips across the KCS system, and includes seven trackage maps.

The KCS system (now part of Canadian Pacific Kansas City) in the U.S. sprawls across nine Midwestern states with headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. The system reaches into Illinois to Jacksonville, Springfield, and East St. Louis. The traditional southern main line moves traffic to Dallas, New Orleans, and Port Arthur, Texas. Later additions carry KCS rails east through Monroe, Louisiana, and Jackson, Mississippi, to Meridian and Artesia, Mississippi, and touch Tennessee at Counce. Southern Texas and Mexico-bound traffic rolls from Beaumont through Houston to Corpus Christi and Laredo, where its rails continue deep into Mexico.

This volume chronicles KCS south from Shreveport to New Orleans, across the Meridian Speedway from Shreveport to eastern Mississippi, north into southern Tennessee, east into western Alabama, and from Jackson, Mississippi, south to the Gulf of Mexico at Gulfport. The book features 208 pages, 290 photos, and 7 maps. Hardbound with dust jacket, all color.

About the Author:

Kevin EuDaly began railroad photography at age 12. He has spent the ensuing five decades in pursuit of railroading in almost every form. Early articles in the popular press led to his first book, Santa Fe 1992 Annual, for Hyrail Productions. That was followed by six other authored or co-authored titles, three for his then-fledgling White River Productions in the 1990s. His latest effort, Kansas City Southern: Midwest Division, was published in 2022. Kevin has written hundreds of articles and had more than 50 photographs on magazine and book covers. Kevin began magazine publishing in 1992, and in the years that followed WRP has expanded to currently include 10 of its own magazine titles, 17 magazines published for historical societies, and numerous books, annuals, and calendars. Kevin lives on a ranch north of Palestine, Texas, with Nadean, his wife of 35 years. They have four children and eight grandchildren.
