TGV Euroduplex "InOui" Sets

https://static.pwrs.ca/product_images/365907_1.jpg?sz=128942&t=1746414155

Item Introduction

The TGV EuroDuplex, which operates on both domestic and international lines of the French National Railway (SNCF), debuted a new livery in the early 2010s in a color scheme called “Carmillon”—a mix of carmine red and vermilion. In 2019, the TGV was rebranded and received a new identity in the form of the “inOui” („unbelievable" or "astonishing„ in French). Alongside this rebranding came improvements in various services, as well as the introduction of a new logo.

A new variation joins the popular French high-speed train TGV series! This new variation of the French TGV makes reproducing double-set coupling (two trainsets linked together) possible, just like in the real thing! You can also enjoy combining it with other TGV models or even the ICE4!

Product Features

The model features the striking “Carmillon” livery, showcasing a beautiful red gradient, and includes the “inOui” brand logo prominently displayed on the exterior.

Includes two distinct pantograph types, replicating the equipment seen on actual trains (note: pantograph shapes may differ slightly from the prototype).

By removing the front coupler covers and using the included drawbars, a full 20-car train formation—just like the actual TGV EuroDuplex—can be reproduced.

Details:

  • Both end locomotives are made with sealed lower windshield insets and additional roof-mounted antennas, reflecting updated real-world configurations.
  • The interior seat colors across all passenger cars are faithfully recreated in ivory, consistent with the train's modern design.

Other:

  • Lights: headlights and taillights lit (warm white LEDs)
  • Flywheel-assisted motor unit
  • DCC friendly, with 6-pin decoder sockets in the M1 and M2 cars. (Note: To ensure correct directional lighting control, the CV29 value on the M2 car’s decoder must be adjusted accordingly.)

Eizan Electric Railway 900 Series “Kirara”

https://static.pwrs.ca/product_images/365917_1.jpg?sz=78113&t=1746551720

Item Introduction

Eizan Electric Railway operates a scenic private line that runs from Demachiyanagi in central Kyoto to the historic Kurama area, nestled at the foot of Mount Kurama. Introduced in 1997, the 900 Series “Kirara” was designed for sightseeing, featuring expansive panoramic windows that bring the changing seasons into view.

Originally running in Maple Red and Maple Orange color schemes inspired by Kyoto’s famous autumn leaves, one trainset received a fresh new look in 2019 to mark the 90th anniversary of the Kurama Line. The new livery—Maple Green—evokes the vibrant energy of Kyoto’s early summer green maple leaves (aomomiji).

Now reissued, this updated “Kirara” model features the current “KEIHAN” logo, newly colored interior seating, and revised destination signage.

Compact in its 2-car formation, the model is R150 curve compatible, making it ideal for small layouts using KATO’s UNITRACK Compact. Thanks to its large windows, you can even place figures inside to create lively interior scenes. Paired with maple trees or autumn tunnel diorama elements, it’s perfect for building a scenic tribute to Kyoto’s seasonal beauty.

Note: This is a re-release, includes updated destination stickers, JAN Code and price have been changed.

Product Features

Despite its compact body, this is a fully motorized model capable of running on tight curves—compatible with R150 radius tracks for small-scale layouts.

Includes a drawbar with integrated jumper cables for added authenticity between cars.

Details:

  • Features the “KEIHAN” logo above the crew door on the front of the train.
  • Includes the updated blue interior seating, viewable through the train’s signature wide panoramic windows.
  • Car body markings, including train numbers and labeling, are added with high-quality printing.
  • Stickers include updated destination signs, one-man operation displays, the "Fresh Green Kirara" logo, the Kurama Line 90th anniversary emblem, and special designs like “Hieizan Kirara”.

Other:

  • Head-/taillights lit (white LEDs).

DD13 Late Stage Diesel Locomotive

https://static.pwrs.ca/product_images/365928_1.jpg?sz=59700&t=1746670025

Item Introduction

The DD13 was the first domestically made, mass-produced diesel locomotive for shunting/switching service developed by JNR. Starting in 1958, a total of 416 units were built over a period of 9 years. The early and late stage versions of the DD13, which differ significantly, each have distinctive features in their exterior design and bogies.

It contributed to the modernization and smoke-free operation of classification yards across Japan, primarily serving in yard shunting and hauling freight trains over short distances. It was also used to pull passenger trains, including the overnight local service "Hayatama" and on certain lines such as the Suigun Line, Shimizu Port Line, Amagasaki Port Line, and Wadamisaki Line.

Just like the real locomotive, this model can be used for shunting operations, as well as for recreating short-distance freight, passenger, or mixed train services. With the ability to pass on tight curves down to a minimum radius of R150, this model is ideal for operating on compact layouts and in small spaces.

This product is a re-run. The JAN code and price have been changed from previous products.

Product Features

Recreates the design of the 14th and 15th series units (Nos. 203-264) that were manufactured between 1964 and 1966, and the non-double-headed type from around the 1970s.

Reproduces the features of the later model, including the bogie equipped with a 2-light sealed beam and wing-spring type suspension, which gave it a more modern appearance.

Couplers: Equipped with Arnold couplers, exchangeable knuckle couplers are also included.

Details:

  • Faithfully replicates details such as the upgraded fuel tank with increased capacity and the relocated former air reservoir.
  • Equipped with a signal flare tube and whistle. The H rubber seals are replicated in gray.
  • Selectable number plates: 211」「225」「248」「257 Manufacturer Plates: 「三菱」"Mitsubishi"「汽車」"Steam Train"

Electric Loco EF58 66 Ryuuge Engine Depot

https://static.pwrs.ca/product_images/365929_1.jpg?sz=106999&t=1746711019

Item Introduction

EF58 66 locomotive was introduced in 1953 and was part of the final production group of EF58 locomotives featuring large front windows (the third batch).

After being assigned to the Tokyo Depot, it was transferred to the Shimonoseki Depot and eventually to the Ryuuge Depot in 1978. In its later years at the Tokyo Depot, it was fitted with cold-climate features such as an icicle cutter on the front end. Upon its transfer to Ryuuge, its front headlights were upgraded to a dual-lamp setup.

In the final years of the JNR era, it gained popularity as the only remaining large-window unit aside from the imperial-use No. 61. It also hauled the night local train Hayatama. Though it was preserved following its retirement in 1986, the locomotive was eventually demolished in 1996.

Travel back in time and experience the popular EF5866 locomotive from the Ryuuge Engine Depot. Use it to haul the <10- 1881 Night Local Train "Hayatama"> scheduled for release at the same time!
