Proterra ZX5 Electric Transit Bus - Roam Transit (Banff)

Roam is the public transit system for the towns of Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise (located inside Banff National Park) and in the Bow Valley of Alberta, Canada’s Rocky Mountains. The system is managed by the Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission(BVRTSC). In 2022, the system has an average daily ridership of about 2,500 per weekday. The fleet is moving towards being 100% zero-emissions and recently added new ZX-5 Proterra buses to their fleet. What makes ROAM buses even more notable are the variety of images taken by renowned wildlife photographer John Marriott that adorn each bus.

Alexandria Transit Co. Dash 2020 Proterra ZX5 Electric Transit Bus

Since 1984, Alexandria Dash has been the transit operator in and around the City of Alexandria, VA. The System started with 30 employees and 17 buses. In the first-year annual ridership was less than 1 million passengers covering 582,000 miles, but it improved service levels significantly over Washington, DC’s METROBUS.Not only is DASH working towards a100% zero-emissions fleet using buses like the Proterra ZX-5, but in September of 2021, in addition to all day frequent service throughout the city, the new network is totally free to ride, operating without any passenger fares.
