2-Bay ACF Covered Hopper - Great Northern (GN)

 

 

This easy-to-build HO Scale ACF 2-Bay Covered Hopper plastic car kit from Accurail features a one-piece body with details molded in place. It's based on a very widely used car built beginning in the 1960s and still in use today, making it a great addition to your diesel-era freight trains. Decorated models feature authentic paint and lettering schemes with end reporting marks. In addition, the trucks feature nonmagnetic axles, engineering plastic wheels. The car features pre-drilled holes for the supplied AccuMate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers as well as alternate holes for AccuMate PROTO scale-sized couplers. This easy-to-assemble Accurail HO Scale Milwaukee Road 40' Rib-Side Boxcar kit is based on cars built in the railroad's own shops. Beginning in 1937 the railroad built rib-side cars with full-length ribs. In 1944 the car sides changed over to mid-rib style with flat areas at each end. This Accurail kit is based on the original cars which operated into the early 1980s. This boxcar kit features a one-piece detailed injection-molded body with most details molded in place for durability during operation.
