Series 813 is the first train equipped with VVVF inverter of JR Kyushu. The total of 255 cars was manufactured till 2009 and put in service centering in Hakata and Kita Kyushu regions. Depending on the manufacturing ages, train Nos. are divided. Trains numbered 200s make the largest group which was produced between 1997 and 1998. Trains numbered 300s make a small group consisting of 3 trains only which is distinguished in the appearance from the former with the UV protective smoked window panes.

 

 

EF210 300 Electric Locomotive

EF210 300s is a DC electric locomotive 100s operated between Seno and Hachihonmatsu of the Sanyo mainline. It is characterized by the totally different and new body color, horizontal yellow bands and a newly designed Momotaro (peach boy) lettering on the sides.

To pull train in the front, the locomotive is furnished with couplers and large bumpers on the both ends, making the locomotive 400 mm longer and the shape of skirts different compared with 100s.

 

 

E353 “Azusa/Kaiji” Starter Passenger Set

E353 “Azusa/Kaiji” of JR East Japan, which started the business operation in December 2017, was a successor of E257 and E351 that had been in service under the nicknames of “Azusa” or “Kaiji”. The simple and powerful paint-scheme feels very speedy like symbolizing the next generation limited express train, donning violet belts on the alpine white body.
