

Tobu 8000 Series Renewal Car

The 8000 series is the most popular train of Tobu Railway. The 8000 series is a vehicle that was introduced to improve the service of commuter trains that had been operating on the same line until then. Total 712 vehicles were manufactured between 1963 and 1983 (Showa 38-58), which is the largest number ever produced for a private railway company in Japan.
Series 415 100 (Kyushu Color)

Kato will manufacture a scale model of series 415-100, which are still in service in Kyushu. Series 415-100 in Kyushu run mostly as local/rapid trains ever since they were newly produced in the period of JNR and later transferred to JR. Renovation works were conducted starting from 1997 to prolong their life in the operation. Depending on the time of the renovation or the train composition, such modifications were made as making the side windows not openable or changing seats into long seats.
EF81 “Hokutosei” (North Star) Electric Locomotive

EF81 was newly manufactured in 1968 as an electric locomotive which could be driven through three kinds of electrified areas and operated on Japan Sea line, Joban line and in Kammon region. In 1988, the locomotive was selected to draw the train between Ueno and Aomori, and in October of the year, the locomotive was changed into the paint scheme of red body color with a silver shooting star and pulled the limited express, until it was replaced by EF510 in the summer of 2010.
DD51 DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE

We will commercialize the DD51 late cold regions Northern Star Hokutosei, which is indispensable for the limited express sleeper running in Hokkaido. The DD51 was manufactured as a diesel locomotive that meets the performance comparable to the C59 passenger and freight D51 steam locomotives as the flagship of the JNR’s power modernization.
