PROTOTYPE AND BACKGROUND INFO:

Box cars are the basic building block of many trains, even today. High cube box cars offer a higher interior height which allows for larger and taller items to be hauled in them. The plug door provides a tighter seal that helps to regulate humidity and temperature better than standard sliding doors. These two features together allow cars like these to be used for a variety of commodities such as paper products and produce.
