After Rhatische Bahn’s Bernina Line , Hakone Tozan (Mountain) Railway’s track line was designed by employing the adhesive track and making the best use of many curves in mountains as they are without using rack rail even on steep slope and conserving the beautiful natural landscape. On this historical background, both the railway companies became sister railway firms in 1979. Kato will now make the N scale model of the Rhatische Bahn’s electric locomotive Ge-4/4-II in the wrapping with Japanese “Hakone Tozan Railway” logo in the 40th anniversary paint scheme of the friendship between the two railway firms.
