The PS 4740 3 bay covered hopper was introduced in the 1960's to meet growing demand for transportation of a variety of bulk dry goods. These cars proved to be very popular with thousands built. They could be seen in a large variety of schemes representing both railroads and private car operators. Today, these cars have been replaced by newer designs, but modelers of the 60's to recent years will still find a place for these on their layouts.

This release includes eight schemes with three road numbers available for each.
