Dear Canadian Customers,

We have been advised by Canada Post that they have issued a new regulation that will affect many of our customers.  Each time we enter data for a shipping label on the Canada Post software now, and the value of goods to be shipped is over $100, the signature required option is automatically engaged.

There is no way to override that requirement now.  We used to be able to say "safe drop"; now it is automatic, you will get signature required (and be charged for it).  If this will create a problem for you, please arrange to leave a note with your authorization to leave the package at the door (make sure you ask your postal delivery person or the person at an outlet what they will accept) or get a form from your local outlet for Canada Post that will allow someone else to sign for you. 

Go on the offensive and find out what you have to do to make sure you can get your packages without disrupting work schedules or running into other issues.
