North American Railcar Corporation to Dispay Samples of New Car at Springfield Show Tomorrow

Dear HO Modelers: we wanted to let all of you who are planning to attend the Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show this weekend in Springfield, Ma.;

North American Railway Corporation will be their to display the first production copies of our new Green Government of Saskatchewan Hawker-Siddely 4 Bay Grain Hoppers! The cars are in production right now in China.

We asked the Factory if they could Fedex a complete set of the 12 CN assigned HO Scale cars + the Special 13th car, overnight. They just arrived and we will have them on display ths weekend at the Springfield show. So come on by and pick up one of the new Hoppers and have a close look at the details.

So how do you find us at the show? It's simple, you walk in the main entrance at the Better Living Center, and they we are! Here is a floor-plan of the Show. You can't miss us!

This will be the North American debut of the cars.

Now a number of you have been asking when will the cars be here?

Well, as many of you may well know the factories in China "Shut-Down" for two weeks each year. We are in the middle of that "Shut-Down". The HO cars are 40% done, the balance of the HO Cars and the N Scale cars will be shipped by/ or before Feb 28th from the Factory. We should be receiving them around March 16th.

They have to pass through Canada Customs (just like US Customs), we will allow Canada Customs to inspect the cars and then we will be able to commence shipping to our customers.

Please note: we do not want to rush or put pressure on Canada Customs to clear the dock any faster than is nesessary. To do so will only slow things down. The cars will get here and be processed as soon as they are released.

We apologize for the delay, but because this is the first car North American Railcar Corporation has ever done, we wanted to make sure the car was done correctly. If this meant a delay, to insure a quality product, we felt it was necessary and in the best interest of you are customers to deliver a quality job.
