Athearn Announces a New Run of HO 85' Flats with Parcel Trailers

 

 

Era: Late 1960s – 2000s

The eighty-five foot flat car was introduced in the late 1960s to accommodate 40’ trailers, 20' and 40' containers, creating a flexible intermodal car.Hence the name, "all purpose" flat car. Cars of this type remain in service today.

• 33" RP25 profile machined metal wheel sets mounted in roller bearing side frames

• Trailer numbers are different on each flat car
