Update June 9th 2017

To all of our customers who are awaiting the Special Run Red Canada 150 Cylindrical Hoppers:  They have left Hong Kong and we expect the ship to be in Vancouver June 27th. Once they clear customs we will begin shipping. We will try to get most of them into your hands by July 1st but again, that is dependent on customs releasing the shipment.

One other note, we were contacted by the Government of Canada and they have requested a copy of the cars to be placed into a time vault to be opened in 50 years. Only officially authorized 150 year birthdayitems will be placed in that vault.

We have 12 sets left, however, we need to hold them for 30 days for warranty purposes.  After that time we will release them so if you like, you can place a stand-by order.  Remember there is only a limited number of sets and we will not reprint these cars.

The countdown is on!

Since August 4th, the Government of Canada, in collaboration with an array of partners, has been counting down the last 57 days of 2016 by revealing surprises throughout the country.

During these 150 days, a variety of activities that will delight and surprise you are being held across the Canada. We invite all Canadians to continue to take part in the countdown to 2017 in person and through social media. Show us your community spirit and join the countdown today!

So we at Pacific Western Rail Systems decided to do something very special to commemorate Canada's 150th Birthday.

Three Months ago we applied and received special permission from the Government of Canada to produce 2 different sets of Red Government of Canada Cylindrical Grain Hoppers. One set for the CP fans with CPWX reporting marks and one set for the CN fans with CNWX reporting marks.

Each set will include one car with 1867 and one car with 2017 reporting marks to commemorate this special occasion. (Art work below)

Each car will have the official Canada 150 Logo.

The cars will not be reproduced. All orders must be by Dec 31st. Expected Delivery is April - May 2017

The special run of sesqui-centennial cars will be only manufactured on a built to order basis. In order to ensure proper manufacturing quantities, these items will require a $40.00 deposit per HO 2-car set, and $30.00, per N Scale 2-car set, to your local authorized retailer. This will also ensure you receive one of these very limited production items.

The balance will be payable as soon as cars arrive from the factory and are ready to ship in the spring.
