Gondolas have been part of railroading since the early days. Over the years they have grown both in size and types of cars used with many different types of gondolas in use currently. The Berwick Bathtub Gondola was developed to be an efficient way of moving large quantities of coal and unloading it rapidly with rotary dumpers. It was not long before other uses for the car were found including sulfur and later, scrap service and MOW service. Today, many of these cars remain in service with both original and second hand operators and can be seen across North America. They can be seen as single cars, small cuts of cars or as part of unit trains.
This release includes an undecorated model and six schemes with single road numbers and three 3-Packs available for each.
