New Information Regarding the New BC Rail Book from Monte Vista Publishing

Dear Modelers: Monte Vista Publishing has just sent us this update re the new BC Rail Book. The information re the new shipping rules from the US Post Office will be of interest to our Canadian Customers:

We just wanted to update all of you on the progress of a couple of our books.

First, Steam through Tehachapi:

The first volume in the San Joaquin division series has been derailed.

We were cruising along homeward bound, but not enough retainers were set, causing this book to plummet off the track in total disarray.

We will have to let you know when the "big hook" has finished picking up the pieces and the MVPSB(Monte Vista Publishing Safety Board) has
completed its study to determine the problem(s) that caused this derailment!

Good News..

The next book in the schedule moves up  "20 Years of BC Rail Volume One 1984 to 1988"  is proceeding well. The book is being received very well and we have several reservations from both individuals and stores.  We thought we sould send along a few more photos to tantalize you with more spectacular photography.

"Another item your customers should know..

The United States Postal Service has ELIMINATED SURFACE SHIPPING TO CANDA  that means the least expensive way to get books to Canada is Priority Mail.  With these new regulations.  It is $25 to get a Steam over Donner hard bound to Canada.  We are hoping that the BC Rail book with its fewer pages will be around $20, we will check this out as soon as possible let you.   Or order your books from PWRS and save the hassle.

Thanks,

Monte Vista Publishing"

So if you are a BC Rail fan make sure you get your order in for this great BC Rail Book.
Thanks from the Pacific Western Rail
