PWRS Special Run - Canadian National 57' TOFC 

Dear N Scale Customers:

We will give Micro Trains the final quantity to produce for the 2 different 3 car sets of the Canadian National 57ft TOFC and Trailers.

Just like we did with the CP Rail and Ontario Northland sets - there have been a number of customers requesting extra trailers for their layouts. This is your chance.

We need to know by Wednesday next week if you want any.

There are two SKUs one for the CN Intermodal Trailers and one for the CN Piggyback Trailers.

Remember there are 3 road numbers of each. So if you want different road numbers make sure you order "3" if you want all three road numbers. They are the same road numbers on the cars. The cost is per Trailer.

If you order "12" you will get 4 of each road number, etc. Remember to get your order in immediately, there were 20 customers who wanted extra Canadian Tire and Schneiders Trailers who didn't get any because they ordered late!

Pacific Western Rail Systems is pleased to announce two Canadian National TOFC Limited Run PWRS – Micro-Trains Runner 3-packs.

The flat cars are painted brown with white lettering. Prior to containerization, piggyback or Trailer On Flat Car (TOFC) was an important transitional step between boxcars and intermodal technology developments, which in turn led to today's long trains of double-stacked containers. Initially, piggyback loading/unloading ramps were built at or near major yards. Tractors backed trailers on and drove them off strings of flat cars, a process called circus loading.

Canada’s railways have made significant investments in equipment, infrastructure and information technology in response to growth in North-South trade flows. By 2012 CN had cut the transit time of intermodal trains to Western Canada by 24 hours, cut the time of Chicago to Vancouver intermodal schedules by 24 hours and added new and more direct intermodal trains linking Central and Atlantic Canada to attract freight off roads. Pacific Western Rail Systems is pleased to announce two CN TOFC Runner 3-packs. The flat cars are painted brown with white lettering.
