With the end of World War II, there was a huge demand for new rolling stock. Box cars were high on the list for most railroads. The PS-1 was the choice of many of these railroads. Thousands were built between 1947 and 1949. They were used by the majority of railroads and many private operators over their lives. Sizable numbers of these cars remained in service into the 1980's.
This release includes an undecorated version along with six schemes with two road numbers available for each.
