Piggyback trailers offer an effective means of getting product to market in a timely manner. Instead of unloading trailers, loading boxcars, unloading boxcars and loading trailers again, the trailer can go from shipping point to delivery point. This saves a great deal of time and effort. The further the distance, the bigger the advantage can be.
