EMP is a domestic container service offered by Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern with Union Pacific owning the bulk share of containers. EMP provides one of the largest service networks for domestic containers, serving most major cities within the United States and reaching to other large markets in both Mexico and Canada with use of agent railroads such as Canadian Pacific, Canadian National, and the Kansas City Southern. The "Leaf Green" color of the containers is a reminder that rail is environmentally friendly when compared to truck transportation.
