In the mid 1950's ACF started producing welded versions of the AAR 50' bpxcar design. These cars featured 9' door openings and late improved dreadnaught style ends. These cars were built into the 1960's and many lasted for a great number of years, with some still in service today.

Our 50?, 9' door welded side boxcar kits feature: 9' Youngstown doors, 7 or 8 rung ladders, correct side sills, diagonal panel roofs, late improved dreadnaught ends, and accurate paint and lettering.
